Professor NatarajanIshwaran Participated in the 11thConference on International Exchange of Profes

Professor Natarajan Ishwaran, the expert of International Center on Space Technologies for Natural and Cultural Heritage(HIST) under the Auspices of UNESCO through the “Thousand Talents” Program participated in the 11th Conference on International Exchange of Professionals (CIEP) in Shenzhen from December 10th to 12th. CIEP is initiated by the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs (SAFEA) of P.R.C. upon the approval of the State Council. It is a state-level international conference with the biggest scale and highest standard in China for talents exchange, and the only conference in China opened to foreign expert organizations, training institutions and professionals. It is also a comprehensive conference covering professionals, intelligence, technology, projects and management. This conference has been successfully held 10 sessions from 2001 to 2011.

This conference was co-hosted by the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs and the local government in Shenzhen. The officials attending the conference were Yi Weimin, Vice-Minister of Organization Department of the Central Committee of the CPC and Minister of Human Resources and Social Security , Zhang Jianguo, Vice-Minister of Human Resources and Social Security and Director of State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs, Li Guoying, Vice-Minister of Water Resources, Huang Shuhe, Deputy-Director of State-Owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission(SASAC) of the State Council, and a number of local governmental officials. The opening ceremony of this conference was chaired by Xu Qin, mayor of Shenzhen City.

Also in attendance were leaders of relevant ministries under the State Council, co-organizers, provinces and cities, representatives of universities, research institutes, corporations and foreign governments and professionals from home and abroad.

In the opening ceremony, Professor Natarajan Ishwaran, along with other 94 foreign experts was awarded the “State Specially Recruited Experts Certificate” by Minister Yi Weimin. That afternoon, Professor N. Ishwaran participated in the “Thousand Talents Program” symposium, where he expressed his opinions on the proposal of establishing the “Advisory Committee of Foreign Experts” and its website by the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs.
