The UNESCO World Heritage Centre is organizing a capacity-building workshop for team leaders of the World Heritage Volunteers (WHV) Initiative, in the framework of the World Heritage Education Programme, from 12 to 15 March 2019 at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris, France.
This five-day workshop has been designed to help the team leaders of
WHV to improve the implementation of action camps. Through a series of training
activities and discussions, the workshop will focus on strengthening the team
leaders’ capacities and skills, by training them in fundraising, advocacy and
communication, and project management. The training workshop aims to engage the
participants and their organizations fully in order to maximize the impact and
outreach of their projects, as well as reinforcing capacities and equipping
them with skills that they can pass on.
The capacity-building workshop is organized as part of the World
Heritage Volunteers Initiative, which is led by the UNESCO World Heritage
Centre in collaboration with the Coordinating Committee for International
Voluntary Service (CCIVS), European Heritage Volunteers and Better World.
This workshop is funded by the Netherlands Funds-in-Trust.
