UNESCO Scientific Colloquium on the Access to Underwater Cultural Heritage to take place in Denmark
UNESCO organizes a scientific colloquium in Denmark to deal with one of the key elements in the management and protection of the underwater cultural heritage, the public access to it.
The UNESCO Scientific Colloquium on the Access to Underwater Cultural Heritage and the Convention on the protection of this heritage will take place in the National Museum of Denmark in Copenhagen on 8 and 9 June 2016.The colloquium is organized by UNESCO in close cooperation with the National Museum of Denmark. It will be preceded by a regional intergovernmental meeting open to State representatives only.
The Scientific Colloquium will bring together representatives of the authorities of the States of the region, scholars, and universities. The working language of the meeting will be English.
A complementary conference excursion to the Viking Ship Museum in Roskilde will be organized on the afternoon of 8 June and an official reception is offered on the evening of that same day.
